Anyone have any thoughts on flea markets. I do not want to do internet sales . I spen forty three years in retail and now that I am retired I find I miss my customers. I am not looking to get rich at flea markets just want to talk with people and make a few bucks in the process. Also if any one knows of a good supplier for flea markets let me know. Many thanks

Hi,
There is what I believe is a new online publication dedicated to the flea market business that may be helpful to you in sourcing products.

It is called FleaMarketZone.com

Best wishes,

I think a flea market set-up would suit your back ground and desires perfectly. Having said that, you shouldn't discount online sales altogether in my opinion.

Just remember, providing your flea market customers with the convenience of an online service for them to take advantage of might be just what they want. I'm not suggesting an eBay style platform, just something that you can market through your own stall to local customers as an extension of your market stall.

I often say to the missus that I will buy a motorhome, attach a trailer full of goodies like clothes etc, then drive around to every flea market I can find.

Great retirement.

Hi sanmansstand,

I kind of liked Marc's idea of selling both in flea markets and having an online outlet for your customers to go to as well :) Gives you the best of both worlds!

You might find the tips in the link in this post - Link hidden: Login to view

Hope this helps! All the best :)
