Hey All,

Bit of clarity here please? Scenario here is that you have your own website with various products, but drop ship your product to the end user. Naturally you use drop shipping so that you don't have to rent warehouse space or order in massive bulk from suppliers/ wholesalers.

How do you go about importing each item from your wholesaler when your clients buy single items from your site, without buying the minimum amount that a wholesaler/ supplier usually requests and therefore having to have to buy in bulk?

Thanks for your help!

Cheers

Hi Arron and welcome to the forum,

The answer to your question is actually in the question itself.

Wholesale suppliers and Dropshipping are two completely different supply methods. As you identify in your question, Wholesale is all about buying in bulk, where as Dropshipping is all about the convenience of buying item by item where by no warehousing is required because the dropshipper sends directly to your customer, not to yourself.

So using the Dropship model will solve any issue of needing to import in bulk purchasing from a Wholesaler. Customer places an order on your website, you then process that order with your Dropship supplier and then they ship the product direct to your customer and bill you for the cost.

That's the Dropship business model in a nutshell.

Cheers
