What in the world is going on- I am soooo frustrated right now..
I have been placing listings on ebay for items I had around the house, have not had a problem, all positive feedback and when i went to post a pair of shoes it is telling that they will not post it because they have a limit to what you can sell, or the item might be a high demand item for counterfeit????

Why is it telling me this, and how come other people are listing the same shoe on ebay without a problem????
GRRRRRRR!!! any help would be great!

P.S- should I start a new ebay account, can you even do that?

I am a eBay Powerseller with almost perfect feedback and the same thing happened to me. I listed one single auction for some computer software. I went to list a different title and I was told that I could not list any more items in this category for the same reason that was given to you. This is just one more reason why I am getting out of eBay and focusing my attention on my own online store. They now tell you what you can sell, how you sell it, and how many you can sell. The nail in the coffin for me is that they are going to start holding your money for 21 days on certain transactions. I suggest that everyone go and find alternatives to eBay and cancel your accounts. Set yourself FREE and tell eBay where they can stick it!!!!!!!

I think this is to keep people from fooding ebay with spam listings. Making it easier for a bidder to find a certain item without finding 1000 items from the same seller.

I was listing computer software and trying to list different titles. I listed one title one time and then went to add a totally different Title and I was not allowed to do so. They were even in different categories. One was a game and one was a type of learning software. I understand that they do not let you list the same items hundreds of times but this was not the case at all.

Yes, it's to stop sellers flooding ebay with potential fake products, I was selling 100 DVD's ALL GENUINE in the UK, I tried to list another 1 cause it sold out and I got the same error message, I contacted my Powerseller Support and they told me I had reached my limit, I then poined out that their were other sellers selling 1,000#s of DVD and I was told, they knew they were genuine....

So basically, they didn't trust me, from then on I started selling ebooks so they wouldn't get their sticky mits on most of my profit. Ebooks cost zip to product!

It it a bunch on nonsense with ebay- I was selling just one single pair of shoes that I had... the item they pulled from me, I now notice they have a powerseller out of china selling hundreds and hundreds of these shoes... all for buy it now of $49.99.... hmmm I am sure those are not fakes???????????????????????????? So why are they coming down on me so hard with one pair of shoes, but china is able to list hundreds and they are fakes???

I am trying out ebid...but I have only had 3 views and I think it is all from me checking them out... now what?

I refuse to give up on this thing.... there is money to be made, just have to find out where to sell...

eBay is coming down on you because YOUR competitor reported you!

Hey grahamg-
I remember reading in the forum (but can't find it now), you said that there is a way to have different user names on ebay... do you happen to know how to do this? I am in a mess with all this product and I just need to get rid of my stuff....
any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I would then ask ebay what I needed to do to get this limit removed. If they believed my items were not genuine then I would do whatever is nessicary to prove it to them.

Jimmy if I have to prove to eBay that my items are genuine then screw them! They need to stop treating every single seller like a criminal. In the United States everyone is innocent until proven guilty. In eBay's eyes everyone is guilty until proven innocent. One of these days eBay is going to get everything they have coming to them and I hope I am alive to see it.

Thats the thing- everything I have listed I have shown pictures of holograms, or authenticity paperwork... should I sign my name in blood, and hand over my first born child, just to sell a stupid item on ebay? They are out of their minds!!!!! The problem is they know they have the traffic of buyers coming through so they call the shots.

I just started having problems with e-bay. I bought some ipods at a liquidation sale and they offered to drop ship them for me . So I sold all of them in like 3 days. (14ipods) I get the money and try to transfer it to my bank account because my dropshipper does not take paypal . paypal/ebay turns around and freezes my account and asks me to prove that I have the items. I e-mailed them and told them that I use a dropshipper, its impossible for me to do that. So paypal tells me that they will not allow it and MAKES me refund everyones money. (over $300 in PROFIT) after all of this I am problably going to get tons of negative feedback and my e-bay account is ruined!! I dont understand why e-bay is being so controlling latley. They are trying to tell me that I am a swindler because I sold alot of high end items?? but I have never given them a reason to not trust me. As of today, I am done with paypal and ebay. I'm going to craigs list and I'm gonna start my own web sight. This really stinks.

I have to agree with you. What in the world is up with eBay??? It is almost like they are trying to put themselves out of business. There are new rules every week and they are even making up rules as they go along. It is almost impossible to sell anything on eBay now. Everyone needs to fight back and stop buying and selling there! The so called boycott that lasted for a week did eBay no harm and they just laughed in our faces. If you want to bring them down stop going to the site for anything. Stop all buying, stop all selling and spread the word!

I would suggest getting a real merchant account when doing dropshipping on ebay this way, paypal will not be involve and you have full control over the funds. You get paid through your merchant (NOT PAYPAL) and pay your dropshipper the cost of the merchandise and keep the remaining (PROFIT) into your bank =) I am using merchantinc.com and their services are exceptional. I suggest giving them a try at least this way you're dealing with a real merchant and NOT a MIDDLE MAN (PAYPAL)!
