Hi Tuyu,

I haven't personally used Collectors Internet but I can see good comments at
Link hidden: Login to view from individuals who have actually purchased from them.

Their profile info is quite impressive, buying power and access to over $50 million in inventory. :) They started in 1979 and with the business still up and running after several years, I guess it is a fairly good indication of credibility.

All the best!

P.S. When you have the time kindly upload a profile picture. Thanks. :)

Doesn't matter, it's not a beauty contest Tuyu! :)

If you're looking at the wholesale lots at CI, those are some very good prices for bulk coins, but not sure if you're going to find much success in trying to resell them in any context other than coin shows. eBay is a wasteland for coin sales, and the work that goes into catalouging individual units out of bulk buys is the reason why deals like the ones at CI are available.

If you go for the deal, just from personal experience with coins, coin shows and eBay, I'd say go for the first one -- as high a quantity as you can afford -- and group them as small wholesale lots online. Your profit margins as a % will be small, but per-order profit will be enough to justify the effort, and you might get some very nice coins out of the deal.

There's a dealer in Pennsyvania whose name escapes me but will try to look them up. They have some very nice wholesale plans that cost some money to get into, but have top-notch products and they will take back any part of a given shipment that doesn't meet expectation. They're often in Coin Price with a full- or two-page ad inside the cover.

I know this is an old and largely dead thread, but since it comes up on page one of Google for information about Collectors' Internet I thought I should update it. I was intrigured by the deals I saw on their site and went about putting together a sizable order from their bulk page (close to 100k) As I was doing research on them, all I find is negatives -- all over their site they have deals listed that are not simply possible (like ... coins that don't exist ... bulk deals on coins with extremely low populations ... etc.) and at major numismatic forums like CU the company is absolutely butchered for its reputation of overstating the condition of coins, not having coins they claim to have in inventory, shitty service, runarounds in lieu of refunds, etc.

They have a terrible record with the BBB, a terrible reputation at eBay (they've burned through numerous seller IDs as complaints pile up) and just generally seem like a bunch of hucksters looking to fleece money off of the naive. Fortunately for myself, I'm not the naive type.

Amazing that these guys can be in business for as long as they have without having been sued out of existence for their business practices.
