Hi pcostie,

They are pretty much like DHgate - a directory of China suppliers/manufacturers. You have to be cautious when dealing with the suppliers here as you will find a great mix of reliable and not-so-reliable ones too. I have not used this site personally but I am confident in telling you that you won't find anything authentic here.

I have been trying to verify if they accept PayPal but the site is taking so long to load.. Although I do see the PayPal Logo down at the bottom but we have to be sure. So when it does load and I can check if they do or do not accept PayPal I'll let you know right away.

In the meantime, here are other threads on the forum about MadeinChina.com, please have a read -

It is stated on their payments page that they accept PayPal but when I checked by trying to purchase one of their products the page just would not load..I have been waiting for over 30 minutes :(

Here's the link to their payments page -

Hi pcostie,

I also tried 'buying' from them online but found that their checkout page is actually an 'inquiry' page. Once you put items in your basket, and you click to checkout/ pay, an inquiry will be sent to them. I therefore cannot really determine the actual payment methods being used.

Also, please note that they have a disclaimer of warranties for products database

There are two different sites which, as far as I can tell are very diferent, madeinchina.com and made-in-china.com.

Made-in-china is a b2b site where suppliers list items and you need to contact them for a price, and they usually have minimum order quantity's (MOQ)

madeinchina.com allows you to buy smaller quantities of items through their website's checkout system, and pay via paypal. I have bought a few items from this website and have recieved the items no worries, however, as I expected, the branded items (Shure microphones) were counterfeit.

Thanks for pointing that out, Simon.

I visited madeinchina.com and tried to do a test purchase but I just could not get to checkout, the page does not seem to load. How long ago did you buy from the site? If you don't mind...

Yes, you can never buy anything branded from Chinese suppliers and expect to receive the real thing. But for practically anything and everything that does not carry a brand name China is a great source!

:)

last time I bought from them would have been 6 months ago, the last few times I logged on there they have definitely been having some website issues, where it either doesn't load or runs extremely slow. I just tried a dummy order and was able to check out, this was at 1am in Australia.

I haven't really tried doing a mock order since my last post :) Thanks for checking though.

My husband and I have also tried contacting suppliers on made-in-china.com a few years back and we were able to find some of them quite helpful - prompt replies to our questions and very accommodating in helping us find the products we needed then.

Cheers

I was looking at this site when trying to find an online supply of electronics, but I didn't really feel comfortable with them as some of the products are fake.
I'd rather buy unbranded products than fakes.

That's right Theo,

China in general in NOT a place for you to buy branded products may it be electronics or apparel. But it is a very good source for generic no brand items. Or if you want to develop a product of your own design they also have a very viable market.

Cheers :)
