I don't know the company you mention from the directory, but if you have sourced them from there they will have been confirmed as a legit supplier, meaning they are not going to scam you.

Just bare in mind that although SaleHoo performs quite in-depth checks on all suppliers requesting entry into the directory, to ensure they are safe to deal with, it can never be with a 100% guarantee.

That's a guarantee that no one will be able to provide, quite simply because no one can see what the future holds, but as of this time they are confirmed as a safe supplier.

Now what does safe mean?

Well there is usually some confusion around this point, so just to clarify. Safe means from scamming you, it doesn't mean that you will be able to buy legit branded products from them, and if they are a Chinese company based on the Main Land, then you will definitely not be able to source genuine branded products from them at all.

So just bare all that in mind if deciding to deal with them :)

That forum link that Haydee has provided there has a post from Richelle indicating that the supplier is actually in Hong Kong, so that being the case they should be safe to deal with regarding branded products.

If they have what you want at the price you want to pay SB, I would say go for it : )

I've tried to dropship brand names before and sometimes they get confiscated by US customs and some other times customers complain because items shipped are not always originals but replicas.

Hi chica4praise,

To avoid such, please make sure that you do not drop ship using China based suppliers and also try to ask for proofs of product authenticity to ensure that the products you are drop shipping are indeed the real items.

Selling counterfeit products in Hong Kong is punishable by law there so it is much safer to deal with Hong Kong based suppliers that those based within China, where imitations and counterfeit products are not really a big deal with the Government.

By the way, were you able to purchase any products from Uniqbe.com?

All the best! :)

They have great prices and service but they don't allow you to ship worldwide using a united states paypal account. While the prices are too high for united states consumers, they see that as less competition for them I guess. They can be rude at times as well.

I'm trying to get a wholesaler account with uniqbe. According to the website review on SaleHoo, I don't need a Business ID, but in the application a VAT/GST No. is required. Was anybody successful at getting an account as an individual?

Also, what kind of discount can I expect if I do get wholesaler privilegies?

Thanks!

Hi fvaldes..i have just signed up an account with Uniqbe.com. If you dont have a VATT/GST No.. then the least you will require is a website so that they can see that you are serious about selling their products. In regards to their prices..the Apple iPads appear to be more expensive than what i could purchase from a major retailer in town. Some of their Digital Camera's and Cellphones prices are very competitive though. Eg the LG Optimus One P500 sells for around NZD$450.00 at major retailers..i can resell these for NZD$350.00 making a small profit. The discount for a wholesaler is straight forward..the more you purchase (bulk) the bigger the discount. In due course I will keep you posted on their service. Hope this helps:)

UPDATE: I just got my reseller Uniqbe account and I am ready to start dropshipping to Canada. I need some advice in terms of marketing:

1. How can I determine the price I am going to show on my website? Reading uniqbe website, they say they can never give you the exact estimate in Canadian dollar, plus there is shipping, and maybe other fees? What is the final price I'll be paying?

2. What method of payment should I use? Paypal?

3. What products from uniqbe should I focus on? I noticed iPads and iPhones are still much more expensive than a regular retailer.

Thanks!
