As seen on TV wholesaler

Hi,
I have purchased some as seen on TV products from DHgate, that resold well and appeared to be authentic (received good feedback on sales).
However, that was the first order from them, which made it to me on the east coast USA in 10 days. My second order was put in just before the middle of December and I have not seen it yet. Tracking says it has left China, but not shown up in the USA (left China on Dec. 16, today is the 30th). The seller (powerseller with good feedback and great communication) tells me there is a delay due to the holidays and if I do not recieve the packages they will resend other merchandise to me (guess I will see). My questions are is this holiday excuse true on shipping? If the holiday excuse is true, is it usually that much of a delay? Since most of the as seen on TV items are made in China anyway, what is the possibility they are fakes? Does anyone know where I can find a wholesaler of these types of products in the USA? Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Shipping of items during the Xmas and New Year period often suffers lengthy delays so I wouldn't be concerned on the 30th Dec.
Have the goods arrived now (14th Jan)? If they haven't then I would definitely be calling the supplier and trying to trace the goods.
