Just out of curiosity, why do you specifically ask for suppliers that don't want a tax ID? They're free and trivially easy to get.

Most name brand musical instruments -- band instruments, electric guitars and related products etc. -- use distributors rather than direct wholesale. IN most cases a phone call to the manufacturer will get you in touch with the nearest distributor to you.

In Spain and in most European countries (if not all) what you need is a VAT ID. This is the equivalent of the US sales tax ID.
