Many websites require wire transfers...how do you go about completing a wire transfer and are they safe? thanks.

Wire transfers are probably the most unsafe payment method out there. I would only use this payment method for trusted sellers. Scammers love this payment method!

I'm in New Zealand and i have good contact in China who provides efficient EMS service with 20%-40% off of the official EMS price. Currently the official EMS shipping cost from CHN to AUS is 210 Chinese yuan per kilo and 55 yuan for additional 500g.

please check out the price from ems official website.

[Link no longer available]

Our discounted EMS price also apply to other countries as well, such as USA, Japan, New Zealand etc. And we may provide ocean shipping. Price is negotiable

If you are interested, you can email me to Link hidden: Login to view cheers.

Never buy stuff from liquidation. I won two auctions from liquidation two months ago. One of the auction, the seller (Onlinereturns) claims that the package includes 5 copies of windows XP professional Upgrade and 6 copies of Windows XP home edition. But I only received 9 CD and 2 empty boxes with no operating system CD. In another auction, I supposed to receive 7 copies of Windows XP FULL RETAIL VERISON, but it showed up 3 copies of Windows XP Full Retail Version and 4 upgrade. I suffered the huge economic lost. I reported the dispute regarding two auctions immediately, but no response so far.I would never buy staff from the liquidation. it sucks.

Has any one dealt with MK Enterprise?
I live in Australia and am looking for dropshipping only with trusted companies. I have been looking around forums, and in some they are saying this company is alleged to be scammers. I am confused as some are saying they are legit.

I am interested in game consoles, branded kids toys. I am still quite new to this.

Hi All!
I am currently in discussions with a Chinese company called bestdeals2U, does anyone know this company and whether or not they have a good reputation? I am in Australia and am looking for good dropship companies in order to supply our ever increasing eBay market.
Any info would be good.

Thanks!

Just a bit more on this company, they offer free shipping on orders of 5 or more items (these don't have to be going to the same address) they dropship and supply tracking numbers for the packages. The only down side of this company is they only accept Western Union payments.

Western Union payments are always a sign of caution, you run the real risk of being scammed.
Never pay via Western Union, unless you have dealt with the company before and have that established trust!!!

210 Yuan a kilo? I was in China in May, and the 100 Yuan = $18NZD then. so that's a steep charge. wow.

About wire transfers - I had an e-bayer pay me through that and my money cleared my bank and I haven't shipped yet but I haven't heard anything back from the buyer (in Romania). I heard that balances simply 'disappear' if the transfer was not legit? Is that possible? I already moved it from my 'temporary' saving account to PAYPAL and it went through.....I haven't heard from him for 2 weeks (I raised the shipping cost).....

weird!

THanks

Hi,

We found landed costs of products in the UK to be around 1.7x cost, and this pretty much balanced for all of us in the USA, South Africa, etc....

My suggestion...Never use Western Union, Moneygram, or T/T!!!! Only a third-party escrow (Paypal) or credit/debit cards....It just gives you more protection!!!

Here's a rough idea on what shipping cost charge.

I purchased 1.3 tonnes of draw runners from Taiwan(pretty close to China) and it cost me $100USD to ship them over here. Took about 3-4 weeks to ship/ customs clear.

Also had to pay for a customs broker since i had no idea about the process for customs and that cost about $600 ($400GST and $200 for them to do all their stuff)

Hope that give an idea on the shipping cost

Hi

I have recently made a transaction with a wholesale company in China for mobile phones and paid my money. The company is now saying that due to the olympics they cannot ship my goods because the batteries are considered dangerous goods.

Do you think this sounds like a scam or a legit law?

There are some weird things happening in China at the moment with the games on hand, and there has been some weird things going on for a while.

I was working for an electrical distributor and we started finding it hard to get certain items shipped out about 6 months ago.

That doesn't mean you haven't been scammed, but anyone trying to do business there at the moment, beware...it's not real simple.

If you are buying phones form China, I would be more concerned about the actual phones being legit than concerning myself about the batteries!

Hi Kevin,

Yes, shipping would be a consideration when drop shipping, as would be the delivery time. Taking those two aspects out of the equation, you may still find it hard to find products to sell that aren't already heavily saturated with the drop shipping option.

Importing wholesale or liquidations is an option, but if you don't have the budget to do it by the container load, then you would really be limited to carton size loads because shipping pallets wouldn't be cost effective at all.

We get 40% to 70% discount from most of shipping company, include DHL, FedEx, TNT and UPS, and more discount from EMS China, EMS Singapore and Airmail Singapore. So the shipping cost from Chinazrh.com is as cheaper as possible than any sellers from China.

That's really a best place for you to import items from ChinaZRH.com.

This really depends on the product you plan on dropshipping. What do you plan on dropshipping?

It also depends on the product, the size of the product, the shipping per-unit, and a few other factors.

When selecting a dropship company be sure to research how long they've been in business, speak to a couple of clients if possible, and google them to find out reviews any good or bad.I hope this helps.

Do you plan on shipping via air? You would have to import thousands of these consoles to fit in a 20 foot container, or even a 40 foot HQ container. What does each unit weigh?

Another Aussie!

Welcome to the forum. Okay couple of things you need to do here firstly can you call the dropship company? A dropship company that doesn't have a phone number may be a scammer however don't hold me to this.

Try to speak to a few of their clients beforehand to get some reviews, also find out how long it takes for them to ship products to your customers. You may want to do a trial order and pretend you are a customer just to check the leadtime etc

Also don't just go with the dropshippers that offer the cheapest postage per-unit as there is a good chance that they will increase this postage as the relationship moves forward. I have a few clients right now in Sydney dealing with the same problem.

Whenever you see western union as the only payment point usually it's bad news, they don't accept TT, PayPal or even bank transfer?

As western union is pretty much untraceable they could disappear.

I would trial them out for 1-2 orders pretending to be a customer and check for starters if the goods arrive, then the quality etc before using them to drop ship to all my clients.

If they are decent and honest then pay them via western union (only after they have proven themselves)...

Hey david a lot of that depends largely on the niche or industry you plan on importing in. Did you have a product in mind?

The typical steps are :
Find a product
Locate a factory
Sample test
Do a small run order
Do a larger order
Get better credit terms with the factory (use their money )
Import different products in the same niche

You will need a good customs officer, freight forwarder etc to help you, I saw a few people on Salehoo that offer this service.

Hope this points you in the right direction mate.
