It seems to me that a person looking to set up an estore for drop shipping would not be looking for exactly the same thing as someone who is intending to warehouse their own stock. I've looked into several "build your own website" sites, and I just can't be sure what's right for a fledgling drop shipper. Is a feature that automatically generates an order from my supplier when a costumer orders from me something that I should require. Also, I'm not sure how much web disk or transfer space I need (I'm looking to start with about 200 products with 2-4 photos each). buildyourwebsite.com, webstudiowebsitebuilder.com, and homestead.com seem promising considering the features they offer and lower prices than some of the bigger names, but I just dunno. I've investigated some of the free programs, but I don't feel like they are a good solution for drop shipping businesses. Have I missed something? I guess what I'm really wanting is a website that allows me to uniquely advertise my products, possibly integrate with my suppliers, have flexible customer payment options, and good web optimization without paying out the nose. Any help would be appreciated..thanks :)

Hi

I can see what you are looking for. Personally i have used addoway to create my own store. Cheap as possible to start with. Then i have bought one website adress is nettmix.com. I have links to my sales or auctions where it`s possible and still trying and figure out for the rest i haven`t got a direct link for my sales.

At the moment i use paypal only. Easy enough, but then again have read alot about that subject. That is what i have done.

Addoway btw u can have 6 photos. You can`t integrate with your suppliers though..or i guess u can`t. Addoway has it limits too ofc.

I now salehoo has some great advice for you:) Pressure on them:)

Good luck:)

Sincerely

Steinar

Does anyone have first hand knowledge with any of these places I have been looking at.
I already have my domain name so I have spent some time putting numbers together for several ecommerce storefronts that have integration with ebay along with facebook and other social networks.
The ones I have looked at are Big Commerce- Shopify- 3dcart-volusion and there were others but all of them in some form or fashion have hidden fees or dont integrate with the above mentioned....
I dont mind paying a few dollars a month for a site- it is a business after all but I joined Salehoo to learn and so I am now your pupil if you have any suggestions... For every one good review I read - I could find almost as many negatives--- Thanks for any help you may have...

Hi again thebeachmarket,

Have you tried Addoway? If you haven't I suggest you check out what they have to offer :) For starters here are blogs about them that might interest you -

As for the other ecommerce sites you mentioned, I tried searching through the internet for additional information on them and here's what I found out -

Big Commerce and Shopify seems to have a general positive reviews on the net with generally happy customers -

3Dcart saw a number of complaints about their service, thought you might want to have a read -

As for Volusion I couldn't find any reviews from reliable sources.

You're right about your observation on reading something positive you are likely to read a negative comment too! It just goes to show that everyone has a different degree of satisfaction on the services being offered.

Hope this helps :)
