Am considering ordering some projectors from Walcom Int`l located on mainland China.

I`ve emailed the manager who has been very helpful and quick to reply and google searching has not revealed anything worrying about the company but if I`m going to part with my money in a large quantity I`d feel better knowing someone else here has used them in the past or still does.

They accept paypal, but for that its a 2.5 % fee on top, or other methods of payment and seem very genuine but it never hurts to ask for comments so if anyones has heard of them or used them could you post a quick comment here for me to read?

Thanks.

I would guess that the second address in Hong Kong is a second office perhaps as I have the China address.

Sounds good and prices for each projector aren`t stupidly cheap or dear.

Will hope for some Walcom customers to chip in now :!:

With three different addresses I would be skeptical about them.

Maybe you need to confront this NICE person you have been talking to and ask him about all these different addresses on different sites and let them know that you have investigated them a little.

Would like to hear his response.

Yes, and keep in mind that PayPal is not safe except for eBay transactions (and I've read horror stories about those too). I thought I would be protected using my credit cards through PayPal but found out that one of my Visa cards doesn't offer any protection if I am purchasing product to resell, and my American Express card apparently won't offer any protection for anything ordered from overseas.

They have two addresses one in Hong Kong and the other in China. I paid by Credit Card via paypal and they put my money back in because their paypal account incurs charges for credit card transactions as it just a free one for paypal customers who feel more secure paying that way so am waiting for money to go into my paypal account from my bank to try again.

They have a site at Link hidden: Login to view and I have emailed about the two addresses just now so will see.

They seem genuine enough, the fact I haven`t read anything bad about them on the various sites and on google suggests they are legit but double checking is a good idea I know.

Will await their reply.

I got a quick reply which said that

'The projectors are made in China, mainland China. We are in Shenzhen, a city in the north of Hongkong. Our forwarder will ship the goods from Shenzhen to Hongkong first, then TNT Hongkong will get the goods on board their flight and send the goods to UK'

which seems fair enough so I shall still take the chance and get the projectors. Hopefully I am right as the projectors are pretty nice for the price and they do some other items I am interested in as well.

I hope it works out - let us know.

Well I have a tracking number from TNT which shows the goods are on their way :)

Looks good so far. No idea how to figure out import tax. The goods value is 1220 US Dollars and then there is VAT of 17.5 percent. I`m guessing that paying TNT upon delivery for any additional charges and vat and tax will be around

Its been a while since the last post I made but heres an update on Walcom and what they are like.

Actually despite my reservations they`ve been very good, excellent actually. The goods arrived within days, in pristine condition and I paid via paypal.

Had some technical questions and issues which they resolved instantly, well same day but pretty quick, and I am very pleased with their service and prices and their after sales service is first rate too so if you are after any projectors, mp3 or mp4 video players, in car systems etcetera they are worth a look!
